The Bodie Doubles
The Professionals
hit the crime-busting trail again yesterday...
but not as you know them.
Bodie and Doyle are
gone. There's not a Ford Capri, leather
jacket or trouser flare in sight.
And for the first time there's a woman
- Canadian beauty Lexa Doig - in the team.
She'll play a tough nut computer ace in
the 13 part series CI5: The Professionals,
which starts filming next month.
Equaliser
star Edward Woodward, 66, is on £1
million in the role of squad boss, played
by the late Gordon Jackson in the original
1977-1983 series.
And
Colin Wells will team up with Kal Weber
as the new toughies of the £10 million
show.
Bodie
- 51 year old Lewis Collins - turned down
a part. He didn't want to be away from
his family for the eight months of filming.
Martin
Shaw, 51, who played Doyle, was not approached.
But
executive producer Brian Clemens promised,
"Our guys will still romance the
girls in the good old fashioned way."
