Wilderness Men

An unwieldy docu-drama series marking forgotten explorers opens with Meriwether Lewis and William Clark's journey of discovery across the US in the early 1800s at the instigation of Thomas Jefferson (whose personal secretary Lewis was). Thus the American West was opened up, and both men duly reported back to the President; but Lewis came to a sticky end.
