A Walk on the Wild Side
The first programme
of Wilderness Men, a three-part
series re-creating some of the most hazardous
journeys ever made, follows in the footsteps
of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark,
the first men to cross America, in the
19th century. Kal Weber and Glenn Wrage
(left and right) re-enact the story of
two ex-soldiers who were seeking the fabled
Northwest Passage, a trade route to the
Pacific coast, and where the first 'white
men' to explore the American West.
The series also
has contributions from modern-day adventurers
such as Sir Edmund Hillary.
